Hussey Seating is very honored to be nominated as the 2017 Manufacturer of the Year by the Manufacturers Association of Maine - a membership organization committed to supporting, promoting and growing manufacturing - at the Manufacturer’s Summit held June 6, 2017 at the Gendron Franco Center in Lewiston, ME. This year’s Manufacturer of the Year award goes to a Maine organization who has made significant investments in people, capital, and community while focusing on custom solutions and creative approaches including robotics and automation. 

Nominees for the award included Hussey Seating Company, Caron Engineering, Integrity Composites, Lanco, Northeast Laboratory Services, and Silvex.

New installation at Kubasaki High School - Okinawa, Japan

We are proud to have installed seats at Kubasaki High School in Okinawa, Japan consisting of more than 1,000 Courtside seats on Maxam telescopic gym bleacher.
Our MAXAM telescopic gym bleacher product is extremely adaptable and efficiently recovers floor space, allowing the school to easily get the most of its facility at all times.

Hussey’s Courtside XC10 (10” or 254mm wide) incorporates a unique fore to aft contoured seat and a gradual “waterfall” curve on the forward edge that reduces pressure to the sensitive region of the thighs regardless of the leg position. Kubasaki High School is the oldest high school in the United States Department of Defence dependent schools system in Okinawa. The school was opened in September 1946 and is located on Marine Corps Camp S. D. Butler, Okinawa, Japan. The current open campus facility was completed in 1964. Kubasaki High School currently consists of 6 campuses, serving approximated 700 students in grades 9-12 whose families represent all military branches, Department of Defence civilians and private industry.

A total of more than 300 fixed Quattro Designer Series chairs, with plush comfort and beautiful styling, was installed at Fairfield Methodist School, Singapore in August 2015, creating a totally new look for the school's auditorium hall. Our sophisticated Quattro Designer Series seat style is designed with soft square wood veneer back and ultra plush seat to create an elegant warm feel, ergonomic design and sitting comfort. Hardwood armrest provides full length support with relieved edges for enhanced comfort, while Quattro style end panel with floating design creates a unique and modern styling. Upholstered in high-grade red fabric with unique quilting-style back tailoring, the newly installed seats beautifully brighten up the entire room.   

Fairfield Methodist School is one of the oldest schools in Singapore founded in 1888 by Miss Sophia Blackmore - a missionary from Australia. It started as a one-room school for girls in Cross Street, then expanded and became the first co-educational methodist school in Singapore with its re-location to Dover Road as two schools:  Fairfield Methodist Primary and Fairfield Methodist Secondary Schools. 

Today, Fairfield continues to be recognised by the Ministry of Education for its rigorous academic programmes, stellar aesthetics and co-curricular achievements as well as numerous of other programmes that carter to its pupil well-being and development.
